Neck pain
Osteopathy for Neck Pain
Neck pain is a common issue that can affect your comfort, mobility, and even your ability to focus. It often stems from poor posture — especially at a desk — but may also result from an awkward sleeping position, sports injuries, or trauma such as whiplash.
Because the neck is highly mobile and supports the weight of the head, it’s particularly prone to strain. Pain can sometimes spread upward, contributing to headaches, or radiate down into the shoulder and arm, potentially causing weakness or discomfort in those areas too.
Osteopaths use a range of hands-on techniques, including joint mobilisation, soft tissue massage, stretching, and gentle manipulation, to ease pain, improve movement, and support better long-term function.
